Kimberly Ann Kasprzyk, 33, of Michigan City, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Franciscan Health Michigan City surrounded by family.
Kim was born in South Bend, IN, on July 15, 1988 to Joseph and Carol Ann (White) Kasprzyk.
Surviving are her father, Robert "Bob" Pinda of La Porte; 3 sisters, Andrea Rahme of Durban, South Africa, Kelley Kasprzyk of La Porte, and Tammy Paxson-Manering of La Porte; uncle, Michael (Susan) White of Dayton, Ohio; aunt, Barbara (Joe) Kuharic of South Bend; aunt, Terry Forsgard of La Porte; aunt, Helen (Don) White of North Judson; niece, Kaila Rahme; nephew, Adam Manering; cousins, Stacey (Josh) Cline, Joe Kuharic, Jr., Mollie White, and Brian Forsgard.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Pinda; biological father, Joseph Kasprzyk; and grandparents, Robert (Norma) White and Anna "Babcia" Kasprzyk.
Kim graduated from La Porte High School in 2007. She was an artist and worked as an entrepreneur making and selling custom artwork.
Kim had a compassionate, nurturing, beautiful, free-spirited personality. She loved to make custom and personalized gifts and delicious baked goods for her family and friends. Kim loved her dog, Arthur, and cat, Vincent, with all her heart. Her favorite genre of music was oldies and rock. Her passion was art, especially Vincent Van Gogh. Kim's other passion was to custom spray paint anything she could such as old records, canvases, and wooden pieces. She had a knack for interior decorating and had a keen eye for seasonal décor, especially Halloween which was her favorite holiday. She loved to go shopping and have sister dates with her sister Kelley. They always listened to their favorite song “California Dreamin'" by The Mamas & The Papas. She was a loving aunt. In the past, Kim loved working with children alongside her mother at their home daycare center. Some of Kim’s other passions included sewing, scary movies, gardening, cooking home-made recipes, astrology, and astronomy. Kim's spirit will live on each day with the rising sun and in the starry night, where she will shine down on her loved ones forever.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. A private family burial will take place at Kingsbury Cemetery at a later date.
A time of visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
