Adeline "Arlene" Snyder, 83 years old of La Porte, IN, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 10th after a 14 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born Tuesday, February 27, 1934 in LaPorte, Indiana, Daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte (Olsen) Wood.
She was married on November 25, 1978 to Thomas Clark Snyder who survives. Also surviving are daughter, Lilly (Dennis) Andrysiak of South Bend, IN, son, Donald (Michele) Minor of Kingsford Heights, IN, step-sons, Scott (Carole) Snyder of Kingsford Heights, Mark (Samantha) Snyder of La Porte; 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Scott) Slavinskas, Katelyn (Isaku) Andrysiak-Begert, Courtney (Phil) Ciupinski, Richard Minor, Amy Scott, Angie Wolfenbarger, AB (Brittany) Howard, and Thomas Snyder; 15 great-grandchildren; brother; Dave "Jim" (Brenda) Wood of Louisville, KY; and 17 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Annamarie Moore, brothers; William Wood and Raymond Wood, and stepson Chris (Anne) Snyder.
Arlene attended Union Township High School, she retired from NIPSCO and was a member of First Baptist Church in LaPorte, IN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM (CST) on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A time of visitation will be held from 4PM -7:30 PM (CST) on Thursday, December 14, 2017 and from 10 AM until the time of the service on Friday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Interment will take place following the service at Patton Cemetery.
