Agnes Margaret Cook, 92, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at her home.
Agnes was born on January 22, 1926 in Union Mills to the late William and Daisy (Geisler) Schoof.
On September 27, 1947, she married Norman Cook who preceded her in death on August 22, 2003. She is survived by her children, Norma (Wendell) Cooper, Donna (Richard) Piechnik, both of La Porte and Dale Cook of Hamlet; 5 grandchildren, Jodie (Eric) Nachtrab of Frisco, TX, Robyn (Jason) McShane of La Porte, Richard Piechnik II of Sarasota, FL, Andrew (Lindsey) Piechnik of Lafayette, and Erin (Jeffrey) Dettman of Trail Creek;
11 great-grandchildren, Adam and Sam Nachtrab, Madyson and Bryce McShane, Heather and Halie Piechnik, Aidan and Ava Piechnik and Aydan, Dominik and Oliver Dettman; 2 brothers, William and Vern Schoof; and 3 sisters, Marcella Henning, Evelyn Gariepy and Bernadine Pinks.
She was preceded by her parents; brothers, Willard and Richard Schoof; and sisters, Irene Jackson, Louise Lancaster, and Joan Newcom.
Agnes enjoyed baking, gardening, crocheting, crafting and spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of Dunes Hospice for the love and care given to Agnes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 pm (CT) on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 9 am - 12 pm (CT) on Monday at the funeral home.
