Agnes C. Jones, age 96, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in Lafayette, IN.
Agnes was born on October 28, 1918 in La Porte to James and Lyle (Hornburg) Gemberling.
On July 24, 1935 in South Bend, IN, she married Glenn L. Jones who preceded her in death. Also surviving are her beloved children, Jack Jones of Phoenix, AZ, and Connie Seitz of Lafayette, IN; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Jones of La Porte; 7 grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, James L. Jones; and grandson, James G. Jones.
Agnes was first and foremost a homemaker, but she worked for Howmet for 10 years and CTS Keene in California for 15 years. She was a long-time member of Kingsbury Baptist Church.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 - 12 on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with a graveside service following at Union Mills Cemetery.
