Alan Joseph Heimbuch, 62, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Alan was born in South Bend, IN, on December 8, 1954 to Edward P. Heimbuch and Patricia Fritsch.
On June 15, 1984 in Colorado Springs, CO, he married Jackie Stalbaum who survives in La Porte. Also surviving are his mother, Pat Fritsch; beloved children, Alex (Ashley Howard) Heimbuch of New Carlisle, Erin (Michael) Frederich of Geneseo, IL, step-daughter, Angela Huber of Savannah, GA; and two grandkids, Max and Fisher Frederich of Geneseo, IL; brothers and sisters, Ed (Bev) Heimbach, Mark Heimbuch, Jim Heimbuch, and Julie (Ernie) Riggs.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford Heimbuch, Bruce Heimbuch; and niece, Kristen Heimbach.
Alan enjoyed golfing, yard work, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A celebration of life memorial service will take place in the summer, which was Al's favorite time of year.
