Alan Robert Surber

Alan Robert Surber, 24, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Alan was born on December 4, 1998, in Michigan City, IN to Alan Buckmaster and Robin Surber.

He is survived by his mother; father; sisters, Shayna (Brandon) Ebert of Portage, Amanda Carter of Michigan City, and Autumn (Daniel) Brown of NC; nieces, Stella Carter and Ryleigh Day, both of Michigan City; and nephews, Camden Ebert of Portage, Nolan Ebert of Portage, Beckett Ebert of Portage, Silas Carter of Michigan City, and Elliott Brown of NC.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glenn Browning.

Alan enjoyed playing guitar and had a gift for writing songs. He also enjoyed skateboarding, BMX biking, fishing, and amusement parks. Alan loved animals of all types.  He will be fondly remembered for his ability to tell a quick joke, as he loved to make people smile.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
