Albert H. Brown, age 73, of La Porte, IN passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at home. He was born on April 7, 1943 in Springfield Township, Indiana to Jesse and Audrey (Warner) Brown. On October 12, 1978 he married Donna L. Deutscher; she survives.
Also surviving are six children, Diane Brown, Jesse H. (Tracy) Brown, William T. Brown, Mark J. (Christine) Brown all of La Porte, IN, Mark T. (Mary) Lewis of Ashland, KY, and Robert C. Brown of Brownsburg, IN; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; twin siblings, Ira Brown of New Carlisle, IN & Vira (Robert) Lower of La Porte, IN.
He was preceded by his parents; a son, Eric D. Brown in 2001; and six siblings, Ida, Helen, Bee, Val, Carl, and Ted.
Albert served his country honorably in the United States Amy and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in La Porte, IN. He retired from the City of La Porte as the supervisor of the Waste Water Treatment after 41 years of service to the city. Albert loved to fish and was an avid hunter.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home And Cremation Center on Wednesday October 26, 2016 at 11 AM. Pastor Richard Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery in La Porte, IN.
Family and friends will be received from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 and from 10 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
