Alberta Claudine (Allen) Maynard, 85 years old of San Antonio, TX, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home.
She was born on January 21, 1927 in Hammond, IN, daughter of the late Albert and Marie (Lubke) Allen.
She was married on February 25, 1946 to Ronald George Maynard, Sr. who preceded her in death.
Alberta was a graduate of Elston High in 1945 . She retired from Bromwell Wire in 1989. Alberta resided in Michigan City, IN for 70 years and then spend her remaining years in San Antonio, TX. Alberta was a hardworking, wonderful mother, and grandmother. She was a down to earth, caring, loving person. Thank you to the people of Odyssey Health Care in San Antonio, TX.
Surviving are her four children: Katherine Louise Weidenhoft (Ralph) Rench, Ruth Poland, Vicki Noble, Ronald George Maynard, Jr; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ronald George Maynard and; sister: Sue Ann Maynard Wedow and brother: Thomas Allen Maynard.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, March 4, 2012 with a time of visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
Interment will take place privately in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City, IN.
