Alexander "Sandy" T. MacLeod, Jr., age 71of Walkerton, IN, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at I.U. Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born March 16, 1941 in Gary, IN, son of Alexander T. Sr. and Elsie Mae Jones MacLeod.
On June 15, 1968 he married Rose Ann Toman, who survives.
He served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1963-65. He was a member of Electrical Union 697, American Legion Post 400, North Liberty Masonic Lodge 266, where he was a two time Past Master, Scottish Rite of South Bend, Orak Shrine of Michigan City, Past President of Fish Lake Conservation Club, and Lincoln Township Community Association.
He was the owner of Catch-um-Lake Bait Shop which was established in 1985. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Surviving are his wife Rose Ann of Walkerton; children, Scott (Kerrie) of Rolling Prairie, Jason (Julie) of Walkerton, Michael of Walkerton; grandchildren, Alexander, Cody, Coleman, Emalee, Austin and Kinley MacLeod; sister Peggy MacLeod of Walkerton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received for viewing from 4 - 8 P.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 and on Wednesday from 10-11 A.M. at the Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, IN. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 6 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating.
