Allen D. Jones, 59 years old of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his home.
He was born July 30, 1953 in LaPorte, IN, son of Warren E. Jones and Marion (Wanser) Jones.
Allen was married on February 2, 1974 in Rolling Prairie to Martha "Betsy" Hootman who survives.
Allen was a graduate of New Prairie High School Class of 1971. He received his Associates Degree from South Western Michigan College in Benton Harbor. He worked for 40 years at Hanson Mold in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was involved in 4-H horse and pony for 10 years. He loved training horses, horse shoe pitching, bowling, and softball.
Surviving are his wife, Martha "Betsy" Jones; sons, Jason (Jamie) Jones of Hudson Lake, Jon (Teri) Jones of Ashville, N.C; father, Warren E. (Dee) Jones of LaPorte; mother, Marion Jones of LaPorte; brothers, Kenneth D. Jones of South Bend, Steven "T-Bone" (Connie) Jones of South Bend; grandchildren, Kenny, Jennifer, Kaleb, Chloe; nieces, Kendra, Jenna, Kelsey, Melissa; brothers-in-law, Bob, John, and Steve Hootman; and sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Huber, Sandy Garcia, and Kelly Breitzka.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ruth Ann "Boots" Hootman.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6PM Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A time of visitation with the family will be held from 3-6 PM, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, IN. Cremation has taken place.
