He worked in the RV industry for over thirty years and also worked as a cook for Nelson’s Golden Glo in Wakarusa on the weekends. He attended Grace Community Church and always supported his children in all their activities and cheered them on at their games. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Cincinnati Reds, Notre Dame, IU Basket Ball and of course Jeff Gordon but not forgetting Michael Jordan. As a professional power lifter, in 2005 he was ranked #1 in the nation following bench pressing #580 lbs in the Master’s Division. He and his family were extremely proud that he was able to achieve this amazing feat drug free, while setting a great example for others.
However, the achievement Allen held most dear was the fact that he had become a four time Fight Club Man graduating at Grace Community Church. He was the epitome of a family man. Despite his illness, he fought till he could walk his daughter down the aisle and dance at her wedding. He would do anything to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed, but his Godly Legacy will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life service will be held in Allen’s honor on Tuesday January 14, 2014 at 11 AM at Grace Community Church, 20076 C.R. 36; Goshen, IN 46526. Pastor Jim Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at West Goshen Cemetery in Goshen, IN.
