Angela M. Anderton, 81, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 12:36 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2005, at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Rev. George Vrabely officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
Angela was born October 2, 1923, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to Joseph and Angie Noonan. On November 29, 1945, she married John Anderton, who survivies.
She is also survived by son Michael (Karen) Anderton of Sandusky, OH and granddaughters Michelle & Julie Anderton.
Angela was secretary to the President of Bendix Corporation and had worked with her husband in his private law practice in LaPorte for many years.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She was a member and past president of the LaPorte Service League, was past president of LaPorte Tri Kappa and was a former boy Scout Troop leader. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was an active member of Questers.
