Ann Hlavsa, 87, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at her home.
Ann was born in Union Center, IN, on October 21, 1928.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Victor Hlavsa of La Porte; son, Vic (Charity) Hlavsa of La Porte; daughter, Carolyn (Ted) Reinert of Austin, TX; and granddaughter, Shalin (Logan) Woody of Pflugerville, TX. Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche; and her sisters, Silvy and Goldie.
Ann worked as a hair stylist until she was 84 years old. She began her career at Ruths Beauty Shop. In her career she owned Hair Fashion both La Porte and Michigan City locations, East Gate, and Polly Ann Salon. During her prestigious career as a hair dresser she worked directly with stylist icons Vidal Sasson, and Paul Redkin.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Roger Ash officiating.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery following the service.
