Anna Marie (Aebli) Erickson, age 96, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Fountain View Terrace.
She was born in Sand Lake, Minnesota on July 3, 1917 to Kaspar Aebli and Suzanna Koelliker, both born in Switzerland.
Anna Marie was married May 1951 in Michigan City to Alfred R. Erickson, who preceded her in death on August 4, 1971.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1130 and was on bowling leagues for many years.
Anna Marie worked at KOP, Pine Lake Hospital, Fairview, and La Porte Hospital as a nurses aid. She retired in 1980.
Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn (Allen) Warren of La Porte; her son, Gordon (Bonnie) Snyder of Grand Rapids, MN; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 8 great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and William Wolbert; half-sister, Johanna Koelliker and half-brother, Arnold Aebli.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Saturday, August 3 at 11 am until the time of service at 12 pm. Rev. JoEllyn Chadwick will be officiating.
