Anna Marie Smith, 90 years old, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, IN, following a lengthly illness.
She was born in LaCrosse, IN on March 25, 1921, daughter of the late William Henderson and Wynema (Talmadge) Henderson.
Anna was married on May 31, 1939, in LaPorte, IN to Donald Smith who preceded her in death in 1997. She resided in Union Mills for many years and was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and Women's Relief Corps of Noble Twp.
Surviving are her daughter: Donna (Howard) Hunsley of LaPorte; four grandchildren: Donald Hicks, Jean Wiltfong, Andrea Wurster and Holleigh Hunsley; four great granddaughters; and her brother: Eugene Henderson of Union Mills, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; daughter: Jean Ann Hicks; brother: William "Wayne" Henderson and sister: Ida Pauline Hamilton.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2:00 on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Union Mills, IN. A time of visitation with the family will be held at the church from 1:00 until the time of the Memorial Service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cutler Funeral Home.
