Arda Mae Fuller of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of La Porte, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 in Arizona.
Arda was born on March 30, 1935 to Donald and Mabel Fuller.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Cherie Fuller; nieces and nephew, Diane (Thomas) Garwood, Debbie (Greg) Bray, and Donald (Cathy) Fuller; three great-nieces; five great-nephews; plus many brothers and sisters in Christ and friends! She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Fuller.
Arda graduated from La Porte High School, attended Taylor University, and obtained her Master’s Degree in Social work from Indiana University. She worked 30 years as supervisor of the VA in Arkansas and in Arizona, until her retirement in 1993.
She loved genealogy, reading, as well as sports and traveling. Arda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mesa, AZ since 1985! She served on the missionary committee and was also very involved with AWANA and Master Clubs until her health no longer allowed. Arda was also a member of the Colonial Dames and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). When not reading, she did cross-stitch and made greeting cards with “Stampin’ Up” stamps.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Wills Township Baptist Cemetery.
