Arlowa Schuyler Vorm, 77, North Judson, died of natural causes Friday (Dec. 5, 2003) at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. EST Monday at United Methodist Church, North Judson, with the Rev. David Mullens officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date. There will be no visitation. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, handled arrangements.
She was born March 1, 1926, in North Judson, to Earl Sargent and Clara (Neupert) Schuyler. On March 1, 1947, in North Judson, she married C. Fred Vorm, who survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, Kathy Vorm, Raleigh, N.C., and Nancy (Steven) Vorm, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons, Fred (Renee) Vorm Jr., McMinnville, Ore., and Richard Vorm, Elkhart; six grandchildren, Philip Sauer, Haven Vaughan, Weston Vorm, Lindsey Podell, Clark and Dustin Vorm; one great-grandson, Zachary Sauer; two sisters, Clara Cahill and Kareen Nielsen; and three brothers, Paul, Stuart and Lloyd Schuyler.
Mrs. Vorm was a homemaker. She graduated in 1944 from North Judson High School and attended the Butler School of Education's two-year program. She was a life member of North Judson Methodist Church and directed their choir for nine years. In the past, Mrs. Vorm was the president of the Emanon Club (Federated Women's Club). She was a charter member of North Judson Park Board and was an active member of the Northern Indiana Community Foundation.
