Audrey Mae Clawson Lehiy, age 77, of LaPorte, Indiana and formerly of Fish Lake, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 in Golden Living Center-Countryside in La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday Feb. 7, 2009 at the Cutler Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 10-2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Audrey was born July 11, 1931 in Rensselaer, IN to the late Vollie & Eliza Jane (Sexton) Whitaker. She was married on March 7, 1947 to Calvin B. Clawson then on June 9, 1987 in Fish Lake to Gale W. Lehiy, Sr. who preceded her in death February 16, 1997.
She was a loving Mother to her son, Ron (Joanne) Clawson of Coquille, OR., and her Daughter: Debbie (Ben) Perkins of New Carlisle. 7 Grandchildren; Angela Perkins, Meagan(Jon)Saunders, Ronnie (Tanna)Clawson, Troy, Ty, & Chelsey Clawson, & Jamie(Adam)Hutchinson, 4 Gt. Grandchildren; Ben Coldiron, Lakisha, Dalton, & Jacob Clawson, Brothers & sisters; Deany Owens, Mary(Dave) Messer, & Norma(J.C.) Messer.
She was preceded in death by a son; Mike Clawson, Bro; Vollie Whitaker, Jr., Sis.-in-law; Dean Whitaker, Bro.-in-law; Buck Owens
She owned C & A. Market in Medaryville, IN. with her husband, Calvin, was a CNA at Little Company of Mary in San Pierre, IN., also worked at Angelo Bernacchi Greenhouse as a floral designer and at Rectecel Foam in La Porte. She was a member of Fish Lake Assembly of God.
