Barb Hagenow, 69, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 11:35 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Ronald Brauer officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Barb was born November 30, 1935 in LaPorte to Walter E. & Fern (Wilson) Euler. On June 20, 1954, in LaPorte, she married James F. Hagenow, who survives.
Survivors also include daughter Christine A. (Brian) Lidgard of LaPorte; sons Jeffery J. (Donna) Hagenow of LaPorte, Jerry F. (Tammy) Hagenow of LaPorte and James L. (Carol) Hagenow of Dorr, MI; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Marjorie Barnhart of New Carlisle, IN and Marilyn Schlutt of Baroda, MI; and brothers Wayne Euler of LaPorte and Norman Euler of Niles, MI.
Her parents and a brother, Walter Euler, preceded her in death.
Barb was a retired L.P.N. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she belonged to Circle #7. She was co-founder of the LaPorte Pregnancy Assistance Program and an American Red Cross volunteer for over 25 years. She was an Honorary Member of the Vietnam Veterans of LaPorte, a member of WW I Barracks, Women's Relief Corps. and the VFW & American Legion Auxiliaries. She was also a charter member and secretary of the Mayor's Council on Veteran's Affairs.
