Barbara was married July 24, 1953 in Michigan City, IN to Merlin D. Sampson who survives.
She was a Registered Nurse at LaPorte Hospital for many years. She started the Intensive Care Unit at LaPorte Hospital and Holy Family Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in LaPorte, Hubner-Swanson Post #83 of American Legion Auxiliary and the LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary. She was an avid Bridge player with many Bridge clubs, and she was a great cook!
