Barbara A. Stifle, 75, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Friday, January 2, 2009 in LaPorte Hopsital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday January 6, 2009 at the Cutler Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the Service. Burial will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery.
Barb was born August 11, 1933 in Pontiac, Illinois to Clark & Dorothy (Frakes) Meeks. She married Walter Stifle May 15, 1968 who preceded her in death in 1996. Her grandfather Dr. Clark Chapland Meeks was the only Doctor in Pontiac, IL.
She was a loving Mother to her two Dtrs; Sue(Wayne) Freeman-Portage, IN., Kathy(Bryan)Brownlee-Michigan City and her 3 sons; Michael (Linda) Kreighbaum, Fish Lake, IN. Stan(Laurie) Kreighbaum, Kingsford Hts., IN. John Kreighbaum-Michigan City, IN; 1 Sister: Jean Meeks of California; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara worked many years at Harvey Dime Store in Michigan City and LaPorte.
