Belva Jo Ingersoll, 81 years old of La Porte, IN, passed away Tuesday Jan. 12, 2010 in Golden Living Center-Fountainview, La Porte.
She was born April 21, 1928 in Valparaiso, Daughter of the late Arthur Keene and the late Geneva (Hanson) Keene.
Belva Jo was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was a choir member for many years. She was the Co Founder La Porte Chapter of People to People , Past President of Women's Literary Society, Past Chairperson for La Porte Salvation Army Advisory Board, La Porte Kiwanis Club, served as a Welcome Wagon Hostess, attended Valparaiso University and Indiana State University, and volunteered for Reach For Recovery.
She worked for La Porte Hospital Foundation and Hamilton Grove Communities.
Belva Jo married Aug. 10, 1947 in Valparaiso to Ralph E. Ingersoll who preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1973 then married Daryl E. Lindberg July 1, 1988 in La Porte who preceded her in death Nov. 1, 2001
Survived by Dtrs; Cynthia Ingersoll of Alexandria, VA., Nancy Harris of Greenfield, WI., & Debbie Ingersoll of West Lafayette, IN., Grandchildren; Betsy Scheinbart, Belva Jo Burga, Nicole Larson, Charles Lehman.4 Gt. Grandchildren 3 Step daughters & 8 Step Grandchildren,
Celebration Services will be held at First United Methodist Church 1:00 PM Thurs. Jan. 14, 2010 with Rev. Evan Lash officiating.and a reception to follow in the church parlor.
A private family burial has taken place in the Pine Lake Cemetery
