Benny D. Jackson, 66, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 7:35 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. John Haferkamp officiating. Visitation is Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Benny was born February 8, 1939, in Reyno, Arkansas to Robert & Christine (Evans) Jackson.
He is survived by his life-long loving partner, Janice Logman of LaPorte; son, Tony Jackson of Bon Aqua, TN; daughters Tina Tanner of Nekossa, WI, Terrie Russom of Knobel, AR, Tonya Fry of Walkerton, IN, Terrina Logman and Tondrina Sanders, both of LaPorte; 10 grandchildren; and brother, Robbie Dale Jackson of Memphis, TN.
His parents preceded him in death.
Benny owned Benny's Mower Service. He also did painting and repair work.
He had served in the US Airforce. He was also a member of the Church of Christ and he loved the outdoors.
