Betty Jane Hahn, 90, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Brentwood in La Porte.
Betty was born in La Porte, IN, on May 25, 1926 to Carl A. and Florence (Tillotson) Johnson.
Surviving are her beloved children, Craig (Ruth Bocher) Hahn of Wauwatosa, WI, Mark (Kay) Hahn of Rockford, MI, Brad Hahn of La Porte, and Sandi (Murray) Russell of Orlando, FL; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Jennings of Cincinnati, OH, Ann McDermott of La Porte, and John (Donna) Johnson of FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Robert, Carl, and Richard Johnson.
Betty graduated from La Porte High School and received a Bachelors in Nursing from Indiana University. She was a registered nurse for over forty years retiring from La Porte Hospital. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and especially her family.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm (CST) on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Dennis Meyer officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 3 pm until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
