Betty Lou (Hensell) Hill, 86 years old of LaPorte, IN, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
She was born November 17, 1925 in Peru, IN daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Britton) Day.
She was married on August 6, 1971 to Lester V. Hill who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her sons, Terry (Jeanne Dickey) Hensell, Ricki (Joan) Hensell, Robert (Cathy) Hensell, Randy (Judy) Hensell; daughter, Pam (Terry) Callahan, all of LaPorte; 2 step-daughters, Mary Ann Guenther of LaPorte, Susan Hudson of LaPorte; 2 brothers, Robert and Fred Day of LaPorte; sister, Shirley Hibner of Michigan City; special friend and companion, Howard Wikoren; 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a step-daughter; and 6 brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Major Wurtz officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 and from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Interment will follow in the Pine Lake Cemetery.
