Betty Marie Nemeth, 87, of Bristol, Indiana, passed from life into the arms of Jesus on March 25, 2014.
Betty was born in Elkhart and lived in the area her entire life. She graduated from Elkhart High School. She married Emery Nemeth on May 3, 1952 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Elkhart.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, reading Inspirational Fiction, putting puzzles together, and taking long walks. Most of all, she passionately dedicated herself to studying the Word of God. She was a faithful member of Bethel Tabernacle of Niles. Betty was baptized in Jesus name and had been filled with the Holy Ghost for 70 years.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bevins, granddaughter, Rhonda (Craig) Cheney, and two great granddaughters, Alexandra and Ava Cheney, all of Bristol, Indiana.
Betty is also survived by her brother, Rev. Frank (Phyllis) Strine of Huntington, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery, her son, Daniel, and her son-in-law, Booker Bevins Jr. Also preceding her in death are her parents and four sisters.
A funeral service will be held in her honor at 10 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Bethel Tabernacle, 71378 Ironwood Drive; Niles, MI 49120. Pastor Matthew J. Bair will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 28, 2014 from 4-7 PM at Bethel Tabernacle. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
