Billy Dale Hoggatt, Sr., 72, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Wintersong Village in Knox.

Billy was born on November 26, 1942 in Clinton, IN, to John and Leitha (Reynolds) Hoggatt.

Surviving are his beloved children, Jeff (Kat) Bowlin of Kingsford Heights, Billy (Amber) Hoggat, Jr. of La Porte, and Jill (Robert) Rozinski of Kingsford Heights; 8 grandchildren, Jeff Bowlin, Jr. of La Porte, Ray "Bertie" Bowlin of La Porte, Billy Dale Bowlin of La Porte, Sherrie Cox of Logansport, Chance Dillon Bowlin of Kingsford Heights, Stephanie Rozinski of Kingsford Heights, Jacob Hoggatt and Jayden Hoggatt of La Porte; 2 great-grandchildren, Maxon George and Arabella Bowlin; as well as many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly Hoggatt; and two brothers.

Billy was a semi-truck driver for SLN Trucking. He was an avid sports fan who watched the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, and Bears as well as the Colts on occasion. Billy especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

Military Honors will be conducted at 11 AM CST/ 12 PM EST on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the New Buffalo American Legion Post 169, 19139 US Highway 12, New Buffalo, MI 49117. A Pot Luck Luncheon will be held following the military honors.
