Blake Edward Stout, 71, of Kingsford Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home.
Blake was born on September 27, 1949 in La Porte, IN, to Kenneth Paul and Virginia (Howard) Stout.
Surviving Blake are his daughter Ericka Stout of Kingsford Heights; 4 grandchildren, Dylan Jacko of La Porte, Taylor Stout of La Porte, Nicolette Stout of Kingsford Heights, and Timmy Stout of Kingsford Heights; 1 great-grandchild, Vela Jacko; lifelong partner, Denise Stout of Kingsford Heights; siblings, Paul (Debbie) Stout of Kingsford Heights, Randy (Lori) Stout of Union Mills, Brad (Lisa) Stout of Austin, MN, Susie Nehl of Union Mills, Loretta Ake of South Naples, FL, Barbara Stout of Stillwell, and Becky Stout of Hamlet; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents and son, Timothy Charles Stout.
Blake proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he was a tank mechanic. He completed one tour in Vietnam. Later he worked as a machine operator for many years at Allis Chalmers. His favorite past times included working on old garden tractors and gardening. Blake was affectionately known as a small engine "genius".
A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the American Legion of Kingsford Heights, 500 Grayton Rd., Kingsford Heights, IN 46346.
Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is asked to follow the State guidelines concerning public gatherings.
