Boyd C. Keller, 80, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 12:55 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, at Bethany Lutheran Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday at Cutler Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the church. Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery.
Boyd was born February 19, 1924, in LaPorte to Harlo & Nettie (Vanpherson) Keller. On April 15, 1948, in LaPorte, he married Margaret M. Magnuson, who survives.
Survivors also include sister Lois A. Weeden of LaPorte and nieces Deborah Brown, Judy Keim, Mary Margaret Ford, Jean Snyder, Janet Gregory, and Joanne Hibner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Faith C. Eder, and an infant sister.
Boyd was a former vice-president of 1st National Bank in LaPorte. He had been the owner of Maple City Finance, BK Motors, Dealer Distribution, and Payless Rental Companies, all in LaPorte.
He had served in the U.S. Army. He was a past president of the LaPorte Rotary Club from 1979-1980. He was a member of the LaPorte Elks Club and Bethany Lutheran Church, where he had served as usher and was involved in the youth mission trip.
