Brittney Ann Flaherty, age 16, of La Porte, passed away on June 18, 2014 at her home.
She was born in La Porte, on November 17, 1997 to Patrick Flaherty and Laura Jean (Schoof) Pointon.
Surviving are her parents, Laura (William) Pointon and Patrick (Brenda) Flaherty; sister, DeAnn Garcia; brother, Sean (Francine) Flaherty; step-sister, Candice Dickenson; step-brother, Eric Pointon; grandfathers, William Schoof, Joseph Flaherty; 7 nieces; and 2 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Georgine Flaherty; grandparents, Vela and Jack Pointon; and her uncle, Randy William Schoof.
Brittney was a Student at La Porte High School where she was in the band. She loved music especially the drums. Brittney was well liked by many. She was outgoing, kind, and very smart. She will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Ken Grace officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Sunday, June 22, 2014 and also for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Patton Cemetery.
