Bruce Gene Sherwood, 70, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Memorial Hospital South Bend.
Bruce was born in La Porte, IN on August 28, 1946 to Wallace and Josephine (Vitoux) Sherwood.
Bruce was married on July 20th 1968 to Peggy Jean Fryar who preceded him in death 2012. Bruce was owner of AIM Water Treatment in La Porte.
Surviving are his beloved children; Deke (Britne Johnson) Sherwood of Rolling Prairie, Drew Sherwood of La Porte, Casey (Michael) Ryan of Union Mills; Five grandchildren, Alysia and Samuel Sherwood, Chloe, Baylee and Lincoln Ryan; brothers, Richard (Nora) Sherwood, Charles Sherwood, James (Susan) Sherwood; sister, Carol (Thomas) Lamb; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Gathering will take place from 4-7 PM on Monday, February 6, 2017 at The Timbers Restaurant inside the Best Western Hotel, 444 Pine Lake Ave, La Porte. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the PAX Center Food Pantry, 605 Washington St., La Porte, IN 46350.
