Burdette Anderson, 92, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 5:55 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, at Grace Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Cutler Funeral Home and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
Burdette was born October 5, 1912 to Anton & Alida (Lindgren) Nelson. On May 20, 1938, she married Robert Gust Anderson who preceded her in death June 28, 1960.
Survivors include daughter Judith Alida Anderson of LaPorte; son Elden Robert (Rose) Anderson of LaPorte; grandsons Michael R. (Erin) Anderson of Ionia, MI and Matthew A. Anderson of LaPorte; and sister Mildred E. Johnson of LaPorte.
Brothers Torsten, Ernest, Detlof, Stanley, Ellsworth and Dwight Nelson and sister Marcella Ogren preceded her in death.
Burdette had retired from LaPorte Hospital, having worked as an Assistant Medical Records Librarian. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the LaPorte Hospital Retirees. She enjoyed going to the Swanson Activity Center, watching Cubs games and being with her 2 grandsons.
Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or the ICF Wing on the 6th Floor of LaPorte Hospital.
