Carl Franklin Lundell, age 85, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.
Carl was born in Chicago Heights, IL, on March 24, 1928 to Eric Lundell and Sarah (Harr) Lundell.
On November 29, 1946, he married Dorothy Adeline Wieringa who preceded him in death. Surviving are his beloved children, Sandra (William) Pieper of Vernon Hills, IL, Alan (Diana) Lundell of La Porte, and Bryon (LuAnn) Lundell of Phoenix, MD; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Carl retired from American Metal Testing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 474 Matteson, IL and the DAV Chapter IN 13.
A Celebration of Life Committal Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL.
