Carol Cook

April 8, 1965 — February 6, 2016

Carol Ann Cook, age 50, of La Porte, furthered her journey with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2016 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 8, 1965 in La Porte, Indiana to Arthur and Margo (Keene) Schrader.

Carol is loved by her husband: Michael Cook; children: Dakota Cook, Bailee Cook, and Lattigo Michael Cook (with Jesus); parents; sisters, Cathy (Thomas) Thomasino of Stillwell, Cindy Lou (Jim) Antrim of La Porte, Caren (Dale) Thomas of La Crosse, Cherie (Lorenzo) Medrano of Chicago, Christie Schrader of Stillwell, and Callie (Drew) Dwornik of Michigan City; mother-in-law: Vanda Cook; sister-in-law: Kari Keller, and brother-in-law: Wendell Cook; 14 nieces and nephews; and countless loving family members and friends. Preceded by: Grandparents, Violet Kegle, Donald Keene, and Florence and Fred Schrader, father-in-law Wendell Cook.
Sharing Gods love, she was the embracive arms of the body of Christ. Born impacting others, Carol found joy in making friends with everyone, through everything she did. From art to animal care, she shared her knowledge and passion through caring for all of us. She was an advocate for FFA, and 4-H. Always eating dessert first, believing that every sunrise was the most beautiful ever, collecting rocks, and enjoying the smell of warm goat flank as she milked is only an attempt to describe this wonderful Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Friend, and everything in between.
