LAPORTE - Carol Ann (White) Pinda, 63, passed away at 1:52 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at home, surrounded by family.
She was born Sept. 28, 1950, in LaPorte, to Robert O. and Norma J. (Hall) White.
She married the true love of her life, Bob Pinda, on Dec. 31, 1996.
Carol graduated from LaPorte High School in 1968. She and her husband, Bob, owned and operated Pinda Construction.
She loved to read, especially science fiction. Carol was an amazing seamstress and sewed many items for family and friends. She loved to travel and lived in Arizona, Florida, Georgia and California.
She was a caring and compassionate person that placed the thoughts and feelings of others first.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children Andrea (Noel) Rahme of Durban, South Africa, and Kim and Kelley Kasprzyk, both of LaPorte; daughter Tammy Paxson-Manering of LaPorte; grandson Adam Manering; granddaughter Kaila Rahme; her parents; siblings Michael (Mary) White of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Barb (Joe) Kuharic of South Bend; nieces Stacey (Josh) Cline and Mollie White; and nephew Joe Kuharic.
A Cremation Committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at 3 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation with the family will be held from 2 PM until the time of the service on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
