Cash Williams, 65, passed away suddenly in La Porte, Indiana, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was born in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Robert and Elaine Williams, who preceded him in death.
A retired truck driver, Cash was a long-time resident of the La Porte area. Besides truckin', he loved motorcycles, country and southern rock music, playing pool and his dogs. Following a stroke that left him unable to drive, Cash enjoyed ride-alongs with trucker buddies and boating with friends on Pine Lake.
Cash lived for many years in Panama City Beach, Florida. He was previously married to Cathy Williams and raised a son, Tommy Williams, there. He also raised a son, Cody Cappis-Williams, with the former Kineta Fort-Woods of Kingsford Heights.
Cash is survived by his sister, Tanya Williams; brother, Bob (Pam) Williams; step-sister, Henriett Hanson-McCorkle; step-sister, Carla Hanson; close cousin, Curt Christensen; and Tami Telfer, a dear cousin he considered to be his best friend. He was "Uncle Cash" to multiple generations of nieces and nephews, including James (Amy) Rotering, Buddy (Cyndi) Rotering, and Tiffany (Levi) Gilbert.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in La Porte. A Celebration of Life gathering to remember Cash will be announced at a later date.
