Charles "Charlie" Frederick Hildebrand, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Leesburg, FL. He was born August 30, 1937 to Victor and Lulu Hildebrand in La Porte, IN. He married his wife of 36 years on February 21, 1959.
Charlie served his country in the National Guard for 9 years from 1958-1967 and was discharged with honors. He worked as a Master Printer for 36 years until his retirement in 1995.
He is survived by his sister, Cindy (Wayne) Kepplin of La Porte, IN; stepsister, Nancy (Dick) Clark of La Porte, IN; stepbrother, Roy (Helen) Yoquilette of KY; daughter, Jamie (Randy) Duckert of Omaha, NE; two sons, Chuck (Bonnie) Hildebrand of Portland, OR, and Chris (Angie) Hildebrand of Cameron, NC; grandchildren, Kelly, Daniela, Michael, Mandy, Alyssa, Jessie and Jacob; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; as well as many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by parents, Vic and Lulu; stepmothers, Ruth and Martha; brother, Jack; wife, Pat; daughter, Jenny; son, Jeffrey; grandson, Kyle; and his beloved dog, The General.
Charlie loved to fish. He taught his children and many others how to fish and shared his fishing secrets with them. Charlie truly was a man with a heart that overflowed with love.
Services are pending with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and will be announced at a later date.
