Cheryl Kay Hill, age 54, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Golden Living Center in La Porte. Cheryl was born in Michigan City, IN, on March 4, 1962 to Samuel Glenn and Eunice (Arndt) Hartsock.
Surviving are her beloved children, Scott Beckham of Michigan City, IN, Brian Hill of Chesterton, and Kayla (Fiancé, Paul Meegan) Hill of La Porte; four grandchildren, Alexyss, Isabella, Maddalynn, and Clatin; three siblings, Cora (Don) Hixon of Fishers, IN, Clarence Hartsock of Carlton, TX, and Carl Hartsock of South Bend, IN; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Samuel Hartsock Jr.
Cheryl worked at Fountanview Nursing Home in La Porte for nearly ten years and had been a CNA for over 27. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Michigan City, IN and enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, and spending time with her grandchildren.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private memorial gathering will be held with the family at a later date.
