Chlorine B. Weaver, 93 years old of Statesville, NC,(formerly of LaPorte) passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.
She was born on May 22, 1918 in Hinton, West Virginia, daughter of the late Marvin and Mabel (Allen) Buckland.
She was married on December 25, 1953 in Chicago to Everette Weaver who preceded her in death on February 1, 1978 .
Chlorine was owner/manager of Springville Truck Stop from 1960-1968.
Surviving are her brothers and sisters: Ronald Buckland of LaPorte, Clinton Buckland of Michigan City, and James Buckland of Beckley, West Virginia; Juanita Morgan of Oaklawn, IL, and Leeoma Ormiston of Statesville, NC. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother Orval Buckland; her daughter, Mabel Ruth Schmidt and her son: Theodore Meadows.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11AM on Monday, January 30, 2012. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Sunday from 4 -6PM and on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Interment will follow in the Springville Cemetery.
