Christine Williams, of La Porte passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the age of 75. She was born on April 5, 1938 the daughter of Gerome and Etta (Lewis) Howard. On July 21, 1956 in Fairborn, OH she married Kelly Williams; he preceded her in death on June 8, 2013.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita (Ray) Davis, Dema (John) Furaitar both of LaPorte and Rita (Paul) Finazzo of Valparaiso; a son, Kelly S. (Michelle) Williams of Rolling Prairie; granddaughters, Kim (Tyrell) Roberts, Kelli (James Metcalf) Davis, Angela, Jessica and Olivia Williams; grandsons, Ray (Alice Walters) Davis Jr., Paul Finazzo Jr.; great-grandchildren, Miranda Ritchie, Madison and Chloe Roberts, Christopher Ritchie and James Metcalf Jr.;a brother, Charles Howard; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Denzil, Phillip, Alfred, Robert, and Evan Howard, Geraldine Reese, Eva Johnson; and a sister-in-law, Jane Howard.
She was a dedicated homemaker who lived for her grandchildren. She attended Kingsbury Baptist Church and was an avid angel collector.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Monday, January 27, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Rev. Rufus Williams and Pastor Tim Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte.
Friends and family will be received from 4-7 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the funeral home and also hour prior to the service on Monday.
