Clarence Sitter, 66, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, at Cutler Funeral Home with Rev. Ransom Ebersole officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
Clarence was born March 11, 1939, in Los Angeles, California to Clarence C. and Trena (Folkerts) Sitter, Sr. On June 30, 1979, in Munster, Indiana, he married Barbara J. Bundy who survives.
Survivors also include daughters, Yvonne Allgeier of Littleton, CO and Sherry (Pat) Raidy of Cincinnati, OH; sons Clarence C. Sitter, III of Chesterton, IN and Timothy (Jackie) Nelson of Hancock, MI; grandchildren Jacob & Jenny Allgeier, Shannon, Shauna & Shelley Raidy, Amber, Angela & Adam Nelson and Kristin Nelson Graham; sisters Winnebeth Yartz of Schereville, IN and Etta DeYoung of South Holland, IL; and brothers Gene Sitter of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Piet Sitter of Oxnard, CA.
His parents and a stepson, Thomas Nelson, preceded him in death.
Clarence was a Gary, Indiana Teamster Union Member of Local 142. He was a member of the LaPorte Area Lake Association and had attended the Rolling Prairie First Christian Church
