Claude C. Galloway, age 82, of Rolling Prairie, passed away on February 23, 2014 at IU Health La Porte Hospital.

He was born in La Porte County, on March 27, 1931 to Jesse and Ada (Stanage) Galloway.

On August 23, 1952 in Pinhook, IN, he married the love of his life, Constance (Grinstead) Galloway. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Also surviving are his beloved children, son, Dennis (Theresa) Galloway of La Porte; daughter, Tina (John) Zimmerman of Fishers, IN; daughter-in-law, Kathy Galloway of Columbus, GA; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Brett) Nunley, Jason Galloway, Jacob Galloway, Kyle (Becky) Galloway, Chad Galloway, John (Rachel) Zimmerman, Katie (Bryan) Wilson, Michael Zimmerman, Mary Zimmerman, Sarah Zimmerman, Joseph Zimmerman; and great granddaughter, Alyssa Nunley; brothers, Richard Galloway of La Porte, Gene Galloway of La Porte; and sisters, Mary Ingole of Granger, IN, and Nancy Bush of Wisconsin.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Galloway; grandson, Luke Galloway; brothers, Carl, Jesse, Ed, Marion, Jack, Joe, and Chuck Galloway.

Claude worked as a machinist for Allis-Chalmers, and he retired from Peters & Marske. He was an avid hunter, he enjoyed the outdoors, and he loved his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He was a 32 Degree Master Mason, and a member of the Excelsior Lodge #41, La Porte. Claude will be remembered as a man of love, integrity, a leader, and friend. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM (CST) on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Burial will take place following the service at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 3-7 PM (CST) on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and also from 10 AM (CST) until the time of the service on Saturday.
