Courtney Lynn Deming

Courtney Lynn Deming, 25, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

Courtney was born on March 24, 1995 in Michigan City, IN, to David and Cheryl (Metheny) Deming.

Surviving are her sons, Jordan and Josiah; nephew, Isiah; parents; siblings, Cydney and Derrian Deming; grandparents, David N. Deming, Bud (Patty) Metheny, and Jim (Linda) Vance; great-grandmothers, Mary B. Hamilton and Ruth Rudd; aunts, Morgan Vance and Vicki Pasaye; and uncles, Robert, James and Gregory Metheny, James Vance, and Daniel Deming.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Richard Hamilton and great-grandparents, Joan "great-grandma Kota" Horine, Carter Metheny, Glen (Gearldine) Miller, and Nelson (Dorothy) Deming.

Courtney had a passion for music of all varieties, but she especially loved to play the piano and sing.  She enjoyed cutting and styling hair and worked as a hairstylist at the Hair Cuttery in La Porte.  She was extremely artistic and always thought "outside the box".  Courtney had a contagious smile and a personality that drew everyone to her.  She had a heart of gold and enjoyed helping others.  She had tons of friends and family that truly love and adore her.

Due to guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private viewing will be held with immediate family members only and a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Cremation will take place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
