Courtney E. Wright-Harley, age 36, of La Porte, passed away on October 1, 2014 at Franciscan St. Anthony Health in Michigan City.
She was born in Michigan City, IN on December 8, 1977 to Charles and Carol (Heise) Wright.
On May 8, 2010 she married Tommy Harley who survives. Also surviving are her beloved son, Jayden Quinn Harley of La Porte; her parents, Charles and Carol Wright of LaPorte; brothers, Adam (Meagan) Bluhm of La Porte, Christopher (Anita) Wright of La Porte; nieces and nephews, Bradley Penrod of Michigan City, Neidra Wright of La Porte, Devin Bluhm of La Porte, Mason Bluhm of La Porte, Connor Bluhm of La Porte, Berlin Wright of La Porte, and Kayden Bluhm of La Porte; sister at heart, Lindsey Watkins of Michigan City; and mother-in-law, Shirley Lock of Michigan City.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Bluhm; her grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Heise, and Charles and Harriett Wright.
Courtney loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her son, Jayden. She was a nursing student at Ivy Tech and also worked as a home health aid, body piercer, and also as a sales representative for Lia Sophia Jewelry. Courtney loved photography, butterflies, scrap booking, psychology, tattoo culture, and event planning, including weddings.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery in La Porte.
