C.T. Kitowski, 80, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2005 at LaPorte Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, at the LaPorte Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ronald Allin officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be held at the church on Thursday from noon until the time of the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
C.T. was born February 23, 1925, in Michigan City, IN to Paul & Eva (Kuranc) Kitowski. In 1956, he married Phyllis Dabbert who died July 26, 1966. On November 25, 1967 he married Jill von Asch, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters Mary Solada of Indianapolis, IN and Robin (Jason) Hobson of Heltonville, IN; son John (Patricia Elizondo) Kitowski of Columbia, MD; and grandchildren Kyle Kitowski and Benedict & Mary Lyda Hobson.
His parents and brothers Marion, Mitchell and Stephen Kitowski preceded him in death.
C.T. had been an attorney in Michigan City for 50 years. He was a former Chief Deputy Prosecutor and had also been in private practice. Most recently he had been in practice with Braje & Nelson, retiring in 2002 and remaining as of-counsel with the firm.
He was a graduate of Elston High School and received his law degree from Valparaiso University. He was also a radioman in the US Navy, serving in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He was a member of Phi Delts and a life member of the American Legion.
