Cynthia Lynn Harper, age 67, of La Porte, passed away early Saturday morning at home.
She was born in Rockford, IL on March 22, 1947 to Vernon and Lorraine (Smith) Marsch.
On December 5, 1981 she married C. Eugene "Gene" Harper who survives. Also surviving are her step-son, Ron Harper of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Christopher and Karyn Harper of Mishawaka; sister, Debbie (Sam) Cardinale of La Porte; nephews, Matthew (Julie) Cardinale of Valparaiso, Anthony (Lisa) Cardinale of LaPorte; great niece, Jadeyn Cardinale of La Porte; uncle and aunt, Bob and Corinne Smith; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cynthia loved shopping and traveling, especially to the Holy Land.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Ave, La Porte with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. A committal service will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Osceola, IN on Thursday October 16, 2014 at 11AM.
Family and friends will be received from 2-6 PM on Tuesday October 14, 2014 at Cutler Funeral Home & Cremation Center and from 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be directed to First United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
