Darrell M. Mandeville passed away on December 21st at his home after a long illness. He was 66.
Born on May 12, 1940 to Theodore and Mary (Schmerling) Mandeville, he grew up and lived all his life in LaPorte. He married Barbara Jane Doyle on July 26, 1964.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara and his brother Richard Mandeville.
During his career, he worked at Kingsley Furniture Company, Aero Metals, and Westville Correctional Center. He was an avid car enthusiast. A very loving and accepting man, his favorite quote was: "The greatest thing you can ever learn is to love and be loved in return."
He is survived by his sons Darin J. (Toni) Mandeville of Michigan City, IN and Christopher S. Mandeville of Bloomington, IN, his sister Margene Barnett of LaPorte, IN, and a granddaughter, Jessica Mandeville of Heilbronn, Germany, and step-grandchildren Tyler and Everett.
A private family service will be held at a later time. There will be no visitation. Cutler Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
