David Elwood Churchill, age 71, of Walkerton, passed away on May 22, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Laclede County, Missouri, on August 5, 1941 to Hartie Levi and Johnnie Azalee (Lewis) Churchill.
David is survived by his loving wife, Beth Ann (Mayer) Churchill; his beloved children, Brenda (Floyd) Henriott, Dale Churchill, John (Lori) Churchill, Winston Churchill, Betty (Paul) Decker, David Churchill, Christine (Barry) Keil, Cynthia Freeman; brothers and sisters, Anna (Gene) Vermilyer, Betty (Duke) Dickson, Mary Gibson, Shirley Lindsey, Leon (Joyce) Churchill, Darlene (Bill) Miller, Silas Churchill; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Betty Butler who preceded him in death in 1999.
David worked as an auto mechanic, a class "A" Tool & Die Maker and retired from T-K & Associates after 18 years of service. . He was a member of the Old Timers Bass Club, and Fish Lake Bassmasters. He was an avid soft ball player and enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. A time of visitation will be held from 2 PM on Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to LaPorte Salvation Army or Mill Creek Baptist Church.
