David J. Lubs, 66, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his home.
David was born on May 1, 1949 in Valparaiso, IN, to Raymond and Muriel (Flemming) Lubs.
Surviving are his beloved children, Marci Lubs of Loudon, TN and David Lubs of La Porte; 5 grandchildren, Michaela Lubs of Mishawaka, Hayley Lubs of La Porte, Hayden Lubs of La Porte, Nathan Martin of New Philadelphia, OH, and Adyson Lubs-Alwine of Indianapolis; 2 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann Chalmers of Lowell, MA. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan Lubs; and brother, Raymond Lubs, Jr.
David was a teamster and a member of the Sons of the American Legion, the Falcons, and the P.N.A. He enjoyed working on cars and playing horse shoes.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service has been held.
