David Gregory Williams, age 62, of Hanna, IN, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at home. He was born in Peoria , IL, on August 31, 1953 to Robert and Mary Jane (Decker) Quick. On December 10, 2004 in La Porte, IN, he married Rita Becker who survives.
Survivors include, his mother, Mary Jane Quick of Hanna City, IL; a step-son, Nichlas (Maggie) Bohm of Hanna; grandchildren, Abigail, Sara, Isaac, Lyndi Jo, and Elizabeth; along with a sister, Cindy (Jim) Pardieck of Bartonville, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.
David graduated from Limestone Township High School in Illinois and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He worked as a Carpenter for over 35 years and was a very talented artist. David enjoyed hunting, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Hanna United Methodist Church at 12 Noon on Friday, July 8, 2016. Pastor Darren Williams will officiate and full military honors will conducted following the service.
Family and friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
